The ACA Look-Back Change in Status Report is an ACA report that is run on a per-pay basis. This report will pull in anyone who has completed a measurement period between the current and previous payroll. This report includes results for both the Initial Measurement Period and Ongoing Standard Measurement Period.
The Initial Measurement Period Results should be looked at after every payroll to determine if any New Hires have finished their measurement period and need to be offered medical benefits. If the ‘Measurement Period Hours of Service’ is 30 or more hours, then the EE is eligible for medical benefits and the ‘Stability Period Start Date’ listed is when coverage should begin.
The Ongoing Standard Measurement Period Results will only generate during the renewal period for your on-going employees. For Example, if you have a 12-month measurement period, this means that the Ongoing Standard Measurement Period Results will only show up on this report once a year.
It is very important that you are running this report after each payroll, this was you can assure any new hires or employees are accurately and timely being offered medical benefits.
